The Post Office Protocol version 3 is a method for receiving eMails. After the receiving client has authenticated itself to the server the eMails are transferred from the server to the receiving computer. This is where the management of the eMails takes place also.
POP is the right method if online time plays a role and you intent to receive and read your eMails only on a certain computer. In the customer center you are able to create, change and delete comfortable POP3 boxes.
